Paducah Man Charged with Trafficking in Synthetic Drugs

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Paducah man on drug charges following a traffic stop Wednesday morning in Paducah.

On 05/10/2023 just before 10am detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Bridge Street in Paducah on a vehicle driven by 46-year-old Tony Jones of Paducah. The vehicle was stopped for a traffic infraction.

During the stop, McCracken County Sheriff’s Office K9 “Bobi” alerted to the odor of illegal drugs coming from the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle detectives located 52 bags of synthetic Marijuana packaged for sale along with $1,050 believed to be proceeds of illegal drug trafficking.

A check of Jones criminal history revealed that he had a prior conviction for trafficking in synthetic drugs.

Jones was arrested and lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.

Arrested: Tony M. Jones 46, of Center Street Paducah, KY

Charges: Failure to or improper signal, trafficking in synthetic drugs 2nd or subsequent offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
