Woman airlifted to Tenn. hospital after crash in Calloway Co. involving dump truck

On Feb 27, 2023 at approximately 1:10 pm there was a report of a collision at the 6500 block of Hwy 641N in Almo. The investigation revealed that a dump truck was traveling north on Hwy 641 turning right into Welch’s Concrete with his turn signal on when a black in color Chevrolet Avalanche collided with its back end that was traveling in the same direction.
The driver of the Avalanche was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated by Calloway Fire Rescue. She was then life flighted to Skyline Medical in Nashville Tn. There were two children in the vehicle that were in the backseat that were uninjured and able to be pulled out without issue. The extent of the driver’s juries is unknow and she was not able to be interviewed on scene. The driver of the dump truck was also uninjured.
