Rachel Bodkin Jennings, age 98, of Bardwell, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2023 at ICF of Clinton.
Mrs. Jennings was born on November 14, 1924 to the late Marshall and Mayme Bodkin. She was retired from Snore Manufacturing and had worked at the Deena Lamp Factory. Rachel was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Amalgamated Local Union. She loved to spend her free time crocheting, gardening, talking on the telephone and spending time with her great-grandchildren. While Rachel was best known as a loving woman who loved everyone, she could also be very independent and strong willed. Some of her best times were spent with her family and her granddog Pixie.
Rachel is survived by her daughter-in-law, Gayle Jennings; two granddaughters, Shea Pruitt of Paducah and Lacey Comer of Barlow; and two great-grandchildren, Hunter Lee Comer and Macey Pruitt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Jennings; one son, Jerry Lynn Jennings; her parents; one sister, Lavona Bodkin; and three brothers, Prentise Bodkin, Hazel Bodkin and Dallas Bodkin.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell with Rev. Mark Burnett officiating. Burial will follow at Old Bardwell Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the service time of 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell.
