Kathryn “Kathy” Johnson, 84, of Metropolis, went to be with the Lord December 25, 2022 at Lourdes.
Kathy was a small woman with a big presence. She filled a room with her personality and never met a stranger. Kathy loved being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church in Metropolis.
Kathy is survived by five children, Dwayne (Kathy Ann) Johnson, Charles (Betty) Johnson, Kathy Thomis, Debbie (Steve) Haverkamp, and Gerri (Butch) Parker; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Kathy in death is her husband, Lorn Johnson; her parents, Milton and Nellie Land; and three brothers, Milton Land, Leon Land, and Otto Land.
A visitation for Kathy will be held Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Lindsey Funeral Home.
