Over the past several weeks, drug detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, received information and complaints alleging Seth A. Humphry, 22, of Paducah, KY, was selling counterfeit pills containing Fentanyl in and around McCracken County.
During the investigation, Humphrey agreed to meet detectives on the parking lot of a Paducah business and sell them 30 Fentanyl pills for $400.
On Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at approximately 2:30 PM, Humphrey, along with Brennen L. Johnson, 21, of Paducah, KY, delivered Fentanyl pills. Immediately following the undercover operation, detectives and deputies conducted a traffic stop on their vehicle on I-24 near exit 4.
Humphrey and Johnson were taken into custody without incident. During a search of the vehicle, additional Fentanyl pills were located. Humphrey was found to be in possession of the Sheriff’s Office pre-copied buy money utilized to purchase the Fentanyl pills.
It was determined as detectives and deputies were attempting to pull them over, Humphrey injested an unknown amount of Fentanyl pills to avoid being caught with them.
Humphrey and Johnson were both transported to Lourdes Hospital for treatment, due to being manifestly under the influence of Fentanyl. Once Humphrey and Johnson were released from the hospital, they were transported to the McCracken County Regional Jail, where they were lodged.
