
Lena Mae Tucker, affectionately known as “Ma Tucker,” 106, of Benton, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Monday, December 19, 2022.
She was born on October 10, 1916, to Lewis and Florence English Peck in Marshall County. Lena was married to Jessie Clay Tucker for 70 years and together they enjoyed years of gardening and fishing after her retirement from Florsheim Shoe Company. She loved playing cards with friends and neighbors, quilting and was an avid reader. Lena was blessed with good health and able to live independently in her family home until this year. She was recently honored with a presentation from Mayor Rita Dotson with a key to the city of Benton, Kentucky. She was also a longtime member of Oak Valley Church of Christ
Lena is survived by daughters, Pernie Travis and Ethel Hendrickson; four grandchildren, Brooks Travis (Charlesa), Randy Travis (Ladon), Susie Tynes (Keith), and Cindy Dalton (Joe); nine great grandchildren; Misty Meyer (Jamie), Alecia Camp (Brady), Jordon Nall (Gavin), Hannah Travis, Brandon Tynes, Kayle Sanders (Taylor), Joshua Hendrickson (Karson), Jared Hendrickson, and Emily Edwards; eight great great grandchildren, Jasper Wiles, Lola Camp,Oliver Camp, McKenna Sanders, Madden Sanders, Keyton Hendrickson, Khloe Hendrickson, Kingslee Hendrickson and son-in-law, Larry Spears.
She was preceded in death by husband, Jessie Clay Tucker; daughter, Florence Spears; grandson, Alan Hendrickson; son-in-law, Joe Travis; siblings, Cleo Bradley,Louie Dawes, Lizzy Johnson, Rita Wilson, Reba Baize, Dewey Peck, Lois Peck, Atlas Peck and her parents.
The family would like to express thanks for the wonderful care provided by the staff at Lake Way Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr with Bro. David Hendrickson officiating. Burial will follow at Marshall County Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home.
