  • Oh y’all!! We ate dinner Southern Fried and Sweet Tea in Calvert City tonight!! Located on 5th St across from City Hall! So glad to have this in our community! Family owned and all fresh! Nothing is frozen! Wonderful service and food! They have been open about 2 weeks and are working really hard to work out the kinks but we had NO complaints!
Since everything is fresh and made to order it takes a bit longer but spend the time ohing and awing over the magnificent cakes and desserts made in house with Tiny Cakes Bakery also part of the family! I took a pic of my country fried steak and homemade sides and the strawberry cake I brought home!!
They do take reservations for big groups and they also can do custom order on the cakes and are working on sugar free options!
Bonus they are open until 2pm on Sunday!! Please go try them! They are all super sweet! Every server spoke to us and all asked us if we needed anything! Remember to give them some grace as they are also brand new! Amazing restaurant!!

  • I came for their advertised meatloaf sandwich and it did NOT disappoint! Thick slice of juicy meatloaf with lettuce, tomato, and onion between two big slices of Texas toast with a side of hash brown casserole! Yum! My family also enjoyed their Country fried steak sandwich, chicken biscuits, and waffle fries! So glad to have this local restaurant. You can always find a neighbor there!
  • Ate their Saturday for the first time,I highly recommend this restaurant. Best food I’ve ate in 10 years at any restaurant. Large servings, very friendly staff and reasonably priced.
