PADUCAH, Ky. (Nov 4, 2022) – Marshall County 911 Dispatch reports a chicken offal spill along U.S. 62 just east of the Interstate 24 Calvert City Exit 27 Interchange.
The Calvert City Fire Department is attempting to wash the waste material off the roadway. KYTC Marshall County Maintenance will apply salt to the roadway to enhance traction and cut through the slick smelly coating on the pavement.
The Kentucky State Police Division of Vehicle Enforcement is also on-site.

To avoid the smell and getting chicken waste on your vehicle, you should avoid this area. Motorists may self-detour via I-24 between Exit 31 and Exit 27.
