Lou Ann Travis, 86 of Benton passed away Monday, October 17, 2022 at Marshall County Hospital.
Lou Ann was born to the late Richard and Laura Portis in Marshall County, Kentucky on October 28, 1935. Lou Ann, a Marshall County native attended Benton High School where she was the 1953 high school valedictorian. She was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church and a small business owner here in Benton, owning Main Street Car Wash.
Lou Ann is survived by three nephews, Dale Harrell, Brooks Travis and Randy Travis, all of Benton, Kentucky; two nieces, Donna O’Mar of Benton, Kentucky, Kimberly Ann Brooks-Parrish of Nashville,Tennessee; a great niece and nephew and Barry Ivey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Travis; sister, Judith Kay Portis Travis, and parents.
Graveside service will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 2:00 pm at McNatt Cemetery.
