Michael Price, 66, of Benton, formerly of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Stone Creek Nursing & Rehab in Paducah.
Michael was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on August 27, 1956. Michael often shared fond memories about his time in the Job Corp. He was assigned to Butte, Montana where he learned many skills in the construction industry. Michael was diagnosed with Becker Muscular Dystrophy in his early twenties. Muscular Dystrophy may have weakened his body over the years, but he insisted upon living independently for a long time. He enjoyed the outdoors and a cold beer or two while watching wrestling with his friends. We all admired Michael’s strong will and independent attitude. We will miss him.
He is survived by his mother, Hazel Sticht of Jackson, Missouri; two sisters, Linda Ward (Mike) of Benton and Sharon Simon (Dave) of Marble Hill, Missouri; four brothers, Carl Price of Benton, Mark Steven Price of Sikeston, Missouri, Ronnie Dale Price of Cape Girareau, Missouri, Brian Price of Benton; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Millard Price and sister, Brenda McCain.
