Mrs. Shirlene Yates, age 85, of Mayfield passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Boonesboro Trail Senior Living Center in Winchester, KY.
She was a member of McKendree United Methodist Church and a retired employee of Bell South.
Mrs. Yates is survived by her son, Greg (Denise) Yates of Winchester, KY; one sister, Laura Mae Wiggins of Water Valley, KY; and two grandchildren, Boyce Grissom Yates and Ainsley Yates both of Winchester, KY.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyce Yates; one sister, Ollie Bowden; and her parents, Lon and Margie Roach Jones.
Funeral services for Mrs. Shirlene Yates will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Richard Dowdy will officiate. Interment will follow at McKendree Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Michael Brown, Eddie Arnett, Marty Haley, Gayle Wiggins, Jimmy Wiggins and Grissom Yates.
Visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
