Calvert City, KY (April 21, 2025) – On April 16, 2025 officers went to a residence on Pine Avenue to follow up on a burglary investigation. Officers asked the residents for permission to search the residence and consent was given. During the search a wooden box with bongs and plastic baggies containing crystals were located. The female resident advised that it belonged to the male resident. The male admitted that the crystals were methamphetamine and that he had used some the day prior. He then stated that the box and all the contents belong to his mother. Mark M. Hayes, of Calvert City was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.On April 19, 2025 an officer was advised of a Calvert City resident with a warrant from another county. The officer responded to the resident’s address and made contact with her. Krystal Marie Humphrey, 39, of Calvert City was arrested on an Ohio County Warrant for non-payment of court costs, fees, or fines.
