Patricia “Pat” Ann Erdman, age 88, of Mayfield, KY formerly of Commerce Township, MI passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025 at the Marshal County Hospital.

Pat is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, Paul Erdman; her four children, Jennifer Cox, Paula (Don) Brockley, Keith (Rollie) Erdman, and Dawn Scicluna; fourteen grandchildren, Tyra Spain, Tricia Cox, Nicholas Cox, Crystal Cox, Amanda Hannox, Jessica Hogue, Brenda Pearcey, Tina Gaines, Stacey Cheshire, Sue Pearcey, Nick Des Jardins, Christopher Erdman, Jonathan Scicluna, and Tiffany Payne; twenty-two great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren also survive.

Pat’s journey began in the coal mountains of West Virginia, where she spent her childhood attending a one -room schoolhouse and nurturing the faith that would guide her throughout her life. After meeting the love of her life, Paul, the two began their life together in Detroit, MI.

Eventually, they settled in Commerce Township, MI, in a cozy lake house where countless cherished memories were made. The lake was a place of joy for her children and grandchildren, and was filled with birthday celebrations, fishing, yard campouts, and holiday gatherings. Pat could often be found in the kitchen, cooking with love for her family and anyone else who walked through her door. Her back porch, adorned with vibrant flowers she lovingly tended, was her favorite spot, a sanctuary of peace and beauty.

In retirement, Pat and Paul embraced a slower, sweeter rhythm of life in Kentucky, creating 20 more years of memories in their charming brick home, once again surrounded by blooming flowers.

Pat was a gentle, gracious soul who saw the best in everyone. Her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of her life. She never hesitated to share her testimony, and through her words and actions, she made sure every child, grandchild, and great-grandchild knew the boundless love of the Lord.

Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort in the promise she held so dearly, that she now walks joyfully on the streets of gold, reunited with loved ones, and living in the mansion in the Heaven she often spoke of with hope and anticipation.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Jane Horton Langston; one brother, TJ Booth; one sister, Anna Mae Buchanan; one grandson, Enoch Walter Cox, Jr.; one great-granddaughter, Lela Marie Spain; her parents, Roy Booth and Garnett Strong; one son-in-law, Loreto “Cecil” Scicluna; he dog, Suzie Mud and her cat Suzie.

Her life was a beautiful example of faith, grace, and unconditional love. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.

A funeral service for Pat is scheduled for 1:00 PM Friday, April 25, 2025 at the Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Bryant Kerns will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Friday April 25, 2025 at the funeral home.
