Mr. Phillip “David” Topper, age 43 of Benton, KY passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at his home. He was born April 8, 1982 in Evansville, IN.
Affectionately known as Topper to all of his friends, he never met a stranger. He could often be found hunting arrowheads or riding 4 wheeler. Some of his happiest moments were spent fishing with his dad and making others laugh. He worked many years as a welder for the Boilermakers’ Local 374.
He is survived by his parents, Charles and Diania (Ferguson) Topper of Benton, KY; daughter, Jayclynn Fox of Benton, KY; sister, Kasey Murphy husband Daniel of Benton, KY; nieces, Charlee and Kayden Jo Murphy of Benton, KY; grandfather, Dagwood Reddish of McHenry, KY; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Janet Benlee Reddish, Chester Topper and Ruth Topper.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 21, 2025 at Collier Funeral Home, located at 211 W. 5th St., Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Kristi Stuckel officiating.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the service time of 1:00 PM on Monday, April 21, 2025.
