Calvert City, KY (April 07,2025) – On April 04, 2025 while on patrol in the area of Airport Road on US 62 an officer observed a vehicle with a registration plate that was not illuminated. The officer attempted to make a traffic stop. The operator of the vehicle tapped his brakes and could be seen reaching around in the vehicle. The operator slowed down but continued to travel some distance before stopping. As the officer approached the vehicle the operator could be seen reaching under his seat. After further investigation, Steven Jay Talley, 48, of Grand Rivers was charged with operating on a suspended or revoked operators license, failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance 1st offense, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
