
The Marshals are off to a strong 7-2 start, riding a four- game winning streak after their only two losses came back-to-back to McCracken County in two hard fought battles. They rebounded with victories in the Big Orange Classic over Festus (Mo.) and Benton (Ill.), followed by a 7-2 win over Hickman County on Monday and a 6-0 shutout against Trigg County on Tuesday.
In the win over Trigg County, the Marshals scored six runs on four hits to earn their second shutout of the season. Kaden Merrick delivered on the mound, allowing no runs on six hits while striking out six over seven innings.
Scoreless through three innings, the Marshals broke through with four runs in the bottom of the fourth on two outs. Matthew Henderson reached on an error, and with two outs, Maddox Cope was hit by a pitch. Hayden Gray was also hit, loading the bases. Kannon Dunn became the third consecutive batter to be hit by a pitch, bringing Henderson home. Hudson Doughty then hammered a double, clearing the bases before being thrown out sliding into third.

In the fifth, Thomas Bagby reached on an error and later scored on a sacrifice hit by Clayton Wyatt to extend the lead to 5-0.
The Marshals capped off the scoring in the sixth when Ayden Clevidence led off with a single and came around to score on a hit by Dunn.

On Monday, in the win over Hickman County, Thomas Bagby got the Marshals off to a strong start with a two-run homer in the first inning. Ayden Clevidence scored on an error in the second, and in the third, Kannon Dunn delivered a two-run double, followed by an RBI double from Maddox Cope to push the lead to 6-1.
The Marshals added their final run in the sixth when Clayton Wyatt scored on an error, sealing the 7-2 victory.
Hayden Gray earned the win on the mound, allowing two runs on four hits while striking out four over four innings. Kamden Story came in for the save, striking out three without surrendering a hit or run in three innings.
