Calvert City Police Department Arrest Report

Calvert City, KY (March 31, 2025) – On March 20, 2025 an officer responded to the AmeriVu Inn in response to a request from another agency.  The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office advised that there is a subject staying there who has an active criminal summons from their department.  The subject was located.  Anthony D. Phelps, 52, of Calvert City was served a Caldwell County criminal summons for possession of a defaced firearm.
On March 23, 2025 an officer observed a vehicle traveling eastbound merging at the intersection of Gilbertsville Highway and US 62.  The vehicle failed to yield at the intersection and sped up.  The officer stopped the vehicle and made contact with the operator.  After further investigation, Loren Rhonda Rushing, 21, of Princeton was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol 1st offense and speeding 14 mph over limit.
On March 23, 2025 an officer was traveling on Oak Park Boulevard behind a vehicle and witnessed it hit the center line several times.  The officer stopped the vehicle and made contact with the operator.  James Jackson Mahmet, 19, of Benton was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol 1st offense and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle.
On March 24, 2025 an officer responded to Apricot Avenue in reference to a harassment call.  While on scene, the officer made contact with a subject who had an active warrant.  Kevin Lee Pritchett, 64, Calvert City was arrested on a Calloway County warrant for failure to appear.
On March 25, 2025 officers responded to the area of Beech Street in reference to a subject who was in the area and is known to have an active warrant.  Contact was made with the subject at Casey’s on South Main Street.  Devonda Gracian Lamoureux, 23, of Calvert City was arrested on a Marshall County indictment warrant for receiving stolen property $1,000 <$10,000.
On March 26, 2025 an officer observed a vehicle coming off the I-24 WB off ramp at exit 27.  As the vehicle made a left turn onto US 62 the operator spun the tires and lost traction momentarily.  The officer stopped the vehicle and made contact with the operator.  The vehicle had a strong odor of marijuana coming from the inside and the operator admitted to having small amounts of marijuana in the vehicle.  A search of the vehicle found several items that the operator admitted to being marijuana purchased at a dispensary in Illinois.  Jason Wayne Leach, 44, of Old Hickory, TN was charged with operating on a suspended or revoked operators license and possession of marijuana.
