The Woodlands Nature Station will have Spring Break programs on April 5-13, and each day will focus on a different “ology”. The week will feature live animal encounters, crafts, and hikes as visitors explore ornithology (birds), dendrology (trees), technology, and more!
April is also Homeschool Month at the Woodlands Nature Station. Homeschooling families are invited to visit any day in April to pick up a Nature Discovery Book. This book will walk students through STEAM activities that explore Careers in Science. Students who complete their book will earn a free Nature Discovery patch and certificate.
Finally, Friday April 25th is Homeschool Day! This event is packed with hands-on STEAM programs and activities to help students explore careers in science. Special guests, including Ben E. Clement Mineral Museum and the Challenger Learning Center, will provide students unique opportunities to meet science professionals and learn about their jobs.
Visit the Land Between the Lakes website to view the full calendar of events for April, and check out the Homeschool Day flyer here. All these programs are included at no extra cost with general admission to the Woodlands Nature Station. Woodlands Nature Station is located in Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area at 3146 Silver Trail Road, Cadiz, Kentucky, 42211. |
