Calvert City Gun Club hosts tournament, three from club earn 2025 All American Team selections

The National Skeet Shooting Association has released the 2025 All American Teams. Three shooters from the Calvert City Gun Club were included.
• Les Lala (Louisville) Open 2nd Team and Sub Senior 1st Team
• Dr. Kenneth Ford (Sharpe) Senior 2nd team and 2nd Team A Class (21st All American Team selection)
• Jody Stevenson (Calvert City) Senior Honorable Mention and AA Class Honorable Mention (4th All American Team Selection)
• Gavin Stevenson (Benton) Triple Sub Honorable Mention (4th All American Team Selection)
• Jo Charles (Ashland) Senior Honorable Mention

• Larry Israel (Fort Thomas) 1st Team Senior Veteran


Twenty-eight shooters from Kentucky, Illinois and Missouri – including the reigning 12g World Champion Josh Beard of Cape Girardeau, Mo. – came to Calvert City for the first big skeet tournament of the year.

Barry Stevenson of Calvert City was the High Overall Champion with 196/200 and younger brother Jody Stevenson was runner up with 195/200. Third place went to Mark Presnel of St. Louis, Mo.

Jody Stevenson won the 12g event with 98/100 and Barry Stevenson was runner up with 97/100. Third place with to Don Beard of Cape Girardeau, Mo with 97/100.

The 28g event was won by Mark Presnel with 99/100 and Barry Stevenson was runner up also with 99/100. Ken Ford of Sharpe placed third with 98/100.
