Lady Marshals avenge first loss, improve to 7-1

After securing their first-ever win over McCracken County on Friday, the Lady Marshals took the field for two games on Saturday in the Trigg County Round Robin. They dominated host Trigg County with a 10-3 victory in the noon matchup before suffering their first loss of the season, falling 8-5 to Christian County.

However, the Lady Marshals wasted no time avenging that defeat. Just two days later, they traveled to Hopkinsville and claimed a 9-4 win over the Lady Colonels.

Back on their home field Tuesday, they made quick work of Hickman County, defeating the Lady Falcons 13-1 in five innings to improve their record to 7-1.

In Saturday’s win over Trigg County, the Lady Marshals tallied 13 hits led by Trinlee Anderson who went 2-for-2 at the plate with a home run and three RBIs. Emma Reynolds and Marin Oakley each had two hits along with a triple off the bat of Adley Poole.

Allicen Harris pitched the seven-inning win, striking out six while giving up six hits and three runs.

Harris hit a single and a double, Anderson a double and Jackson a two-run homer in the top of the second to lead at the plate in the Lady Marshals first loss of 2025 to Christian County. The Lady Colonels utilized two pitchers to pick up the 8-5 win and were led by Avery Adcock with a couple of hits including a leadoff home run in the bottom of the fourth.

Lilly Hayden took the loss over four innings in the circle, striking out three while giving up seven hits and eight runs.

Harris struck out 13, gave up eight hits and four runs over seven innings when the Lady Marshals returned the favor in Monday’s 9-4 win over Christian County.

Six in the lineup collected two hits each. Audrey Knisley hit a double and McLeod a triple while Jackson led in RBIs with three and Poole had two.

Adcock went 3-for-3 at the plate for the Lady Colonels but took the loss from the circle, pitching five innings and giving up six hits and six runs.

Lilly Hayden picked up the win over Hickman County on Monday, striking out four and giving up two hits and no runs over four innings.

The Lady Marshals made quick work of Hickman County to earn their seventh win of the season, beating the Lady Falcons 13-1 on 12 hits over five innings.

Oakley was perfect at the plate going 3-for-3 with a triple and Poole hit a two-run homer in the first inning. Harris, Jackson and McLeod all hit doubles and McLeod brought in four runs.

Hayden picked up the win, giving up just two hits and no runs while striking out four over four innings.
