On 03/23/2025 at approximately 0845 hours, Deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office were on Interstate 24 enforcing the speed limit in the work zone between the 7 exit and the 4 exit.
A deputy using a Lidar system to measure speed, witnessed a vehicle traveling at 84 miles per hour in a posted 55 mile per hour zone. Another deputy responded and made a traffic stop on the vehicle.
The operator was identified as Jared Worden, 28. Worden’s driver’s license was located out of another state and found to have a full extraditable felony warrant out of Oklahoma.
Worden was arrested and lodged at the McCracken County Regional Jail for his pending charges out of Oklahoma.
