Archery Team competes at Kentucky NASP State Tournament

Marshall County’s Archery Team competed this past weekend in the 2025 Kentucky NASP State Tournament held at the Kentucky Fair & Exposition Center in Louisville. As a team they finished 21st out of 142 teams in the 10/15 meter range and placed two archers in the top five in their age group.

Riley Cox scored 286 with 21 tens to finished 21st out of 1,551 high school competitors and placed fourth among 427 ninth grade girls. Kenna Cox also scored 286 with 19 tens to finish 23rd out of 1,551 and fourth out of 401 among tenth grade girls.

Rounding out the top five finishers for Marshall County – Caden Hibbs scored 283 with 16 tens, finished 93 out of 1470 high school boys and placed 20th out of 254 ninth grade boys. Shane Wenzel scored 282 with 16 tens, finished 104 out of 1470 and 30th out of 399 10th grade boys. Emmalee Downs scored 281 with 14 tens, finished 92 out of 1551 and 19th out of 401 10th grade girls.
