Matthew Henderson will continue baseball career at Shawnee Community College

Marshall County baseball player Matthew Henderson, joined by his parents Kerry and Donna, signed to continue his baseball career at Shawnee Community College.

Marshall County High School senior Matthew Henderson has officially committed to further his baseball career at Shawnee Community College. A versatile corner infielder, outfielder and right-handed pitcher, Matthew has proven himself as a valuable asset for the Marshals with his adaptability and relentless work ethic.

As a junior, Henderson made the most of his opportunities, finishing the season with a .346 batting average in just 11 games, collecting nine hits and seven RBIs. On the mound, he stepped up in a big way, throwing 18.2 innings, striking out 11, and posting an impressive 2.25 ERA. His steady progression and dedication have earned him an integral role in his senior season.

Matthew’s story is defined by his versatility, attitude and willingness to do whatever is needed for his team. He is coachable, hardworking, and a great teammate – qualities that will undoubtedly serve him well at the next level. His best days are still ahead and we are excited to see what the future holds for him.
