Calvert City Police Department Arrest Report

Calvert City, KY (March 10, 2025) – On March 04, 2025 an officer responded to the Kentucky Dam Motel in reference to a female guest who did not check out on time and had not paid for another day.  The caller advised that he believed the woman was intoxicated and sleeping in the room at this time.  Upon the officer’s arrival, the female was outside of her room and believed to be manifestly under the influence of alcohol.  Stephine Diane Copple, 40, Calvert City was arrested and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place.  Later this same date while being fingerprinted at the Jail, they were notified that she had an out of state warrant out of Dekalb County, Illinois.  Another officer responded and served said warrant for failure to appear on a charge of aggravated DUI x2.
On March 04, 2025 officers were dispatched to the area of 562 East 6th Avenue in reference to a white sports car that wrecked and was in the ditch.  The caller advised that there was loud music coming from the car.  Upon officers’ arrival the vehicle was completely off the roadway in the ditch, still running, with the rear tires still spinning.  The officer tapped on the driver’s side window multiple times before the operator was able to roll it down.  The officer advised the operator to exit the vehicle.  The operator was unable to unlock and open the door on his own.  The officer assisted in opening the door and helping the subject out of the vehicle. At this time, the officer was able to detect a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the operator.  He was also unsteady on his feet and had glassy, bloodshot eyes.  After further investigation, Luis Angel Flores Alfonso, 30, Calvert City was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol 1st offense (aggravating circumstance) and no operators-moped license.
