Gary Wayne “Radio” Freeman, 77 of Benton, KY passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Marshall County Hospital.
Born Tuesday, September 16, 1947 in Paducah, KY, he was the son of the late H.C. Freeman and the late Ila Dean (Cornwell) Freeman. He was the husband of the late Paula (Bohannon) Freeman for 46 years.
Radio retired from General Tire and later joined the carpenter’s union. He was a 54 year member of the Briensburg-TL Jefferson Masonic Lodge #401 and a member of Briensburg Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Mandy Brasher husband Brett of Benton, KY; brothers, Randy Freeman wife Diana of Benton, KY, Mike Freeman wife Rita of Symsonia, KY; sister, Marcia Poe husband Dennis of Symsonia, KY; and grandchildren Tanner Brasher wife Ryan of Benton, KY and Nash Brasher of Benton, KY.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Collier Funeral Home, located at 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025 with the Bro. Bryan Sims and Rev. C.C. Brasher officiating.
Burial will follow the service in Birmingham Cemetery, Benton, KY.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Collier Funeral Home, with Masonic Rites beginning at 7:00 PM.
