These victories at the state level provide an opportunity to compete at the national level. National Convention will be held at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando, Florida during Summer 2025.
Makayla Reid, 8th grader, reflects on attending State Convention over the past three years by sharing, “My experience competing as a Junior Beta has been nothing short of fun, growth, learning, and so much more. I have seen growth specifically in myself as a leader throughout all of my competitions I have participated in. They have helped me with my public speaking skills most of all. I have competed in various things but the two competitions that helped me most were Performing Arts: Small Group and Marketing and Communications. When preforming and practicing for Small Group I got to get out of my comfort zone and speak in front of large crowds which expanded my communication ability. Marketing and Communications helped me collaborate more and increased my creativity. These skills that I’ve learned from Beta will be taken throughout the rest of my life and these memories that I have made will be cherished.”
