Terrell B. Mathis, born on September 2, 1947, in Melber, Kentucky, brought a spirit of joy and dedication to every facet of his life until he passed away on December 11, 2024, in Paducah, Kentucky. Terrell, a devoted family man and friend, retired after a commendable 37-year tenure at General Tire.
Known for his infectious love of song, Terrell’s passion for singing and dancing radiated through his favorite pastime of karaoke. From sitting on the couch playing his guitar for his grandchildren to standing on stage in front of an audience. He never missed an opportunity to bring smiles to the faces of his friends and family.
Above all, Terrell was a loving husband, a cherished father, and an adored grandfather. His legacy of warmth, love, and melodious laughter will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
Terrell is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Stephanie Mathis of Paducah; two daughters, Christy Mathis (Kenton Riley) of Louisville, and Cher Youngblood of Paducah; two sons, Michael Mathis of Lexington and James Eubanks of Eddyville, Kentucky; two sisters, Lois Gail (Ricky) Hudson of Mayfield and Deloris Ross of Cuba, Kentucky; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Keesee; two sisters, Loretta Mathis and Karen Stanton; two brothers, Dale Mathis and Marvin Duaine Mathis; and his parents, Marvin “Sam” and Wyona Tucker Mathis.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah with Bro. Tommy Moore officiating.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the service hour of 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah.
