Once again, the First Baptist Church of Benton KY will be opening wide its doors on Christmas Day, offering a FREE Christmas Dinner to the community. This is the 16th year that they have prepared a complete warm holiday meal with all the fixings for those who would like to celebrate this special day with joy and friends and a meal.
The meal is served from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm in the activities building at 10th and Main, one block from the courthouse. They will serve roast turkey, potatoes with gravy, ham, sweet potatoes, green beans, cornbread dressing, cranberry sauce, rolls and – to top it off – a buffet of scrumptious homemade desserts to satisfy every sweet tooth!!
This gift to the community was first begun in 2008 serving under 200, and most of them were the workers. Now, when the weather is cooperating, there will be about 330 in attendance with an additional 120 meals being delivered to those who are homebound and unable to come in person.
If you are homebound and unable to come in person, you can call the church office with your request, and your meal will be happily delivered to you. However, the last day to call for delivery is Thursday, December 19. The office will be closed after that.

This day will be filled with joy, music, food and love!! Why? Because we want everyone to celebrate God’s Greatest Gift – Jesus Christ. We invite you to come.
