Mr. Dayton E. Colley, age 14, of the Golo community passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at his residence.
He was a member of Chief Cornerstone Baptist Church and a student at Graves County High School. To know Dayton was to love him. He was the light in his parents’ life. He loved playing for GCHS Football and being in FFA. His absence has left a hole in so many hearts. We know God must have needed you more, but we sure miss you, Bub.
Dayton leaves behind his parents, Tim and Mindy Colley of Golo, KY; one sister, Natalie (Cory) Charlton of Calvert City, KY; maternal grandparents, Hillis (Joan) Jones of Golo, KY; paternal grandparents, Gena (Larry) Work of Possum Trot, KY and Randy (Debbie) Colley of Shippensburg, PA; paternal great grandmother, Doris Colley of Mayfield, KY; his niece and nephew, Gabriella and Garrison Charlton; and his uncles, aunts and cousins.
Funeral services for Mr. Dayton E. Colley will be 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at Chief Cornerstone Baptist Church. Bro. Keith Allred and Bro. Alex Reed will officiate. Interment will follow at New Home Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Nick Thomason, Nathan Musser, Chris Musser, Cory Charlton, Toby Jones, Sam Jones, Taylor Colley and Zach Thweatt.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Holly Nursery and Garden Center, 4095 US-62, Calvert City, KY 42029. Trees will be purchased and planted in memory of Dayton at his home.
