
Marshall County softball player, Allicen Harris, signed her National Letter of Intent on Thursday to continue her softball and academic career at Morehead State University. A dedicated and talented student-athlete, Allicen has been a vital part of the Lady Marshals softball program for five years.
Allicen has competed in 105 games, showcasing her power at the plate with 110 hits including 18 doubles, nine triples and 15 home runs. She had an impressive .342 batting average, 96 RBIs and 36 runs scored. Her contribution to the team’s offense have been extraordinary.
In the circle, Allicen has proven herself as a powerhouse with 334 strikeouts across 302 innings pitched, holding a career record of 31-21 with an ERA of 3.15. Her velocity and command make her an intimidating presence and her work ethic is unmatched, both on and off the field. Allicen has been named to the District All-Tournament Team the past two years.
With a year-round dedication to the sport through her travel ball organization, Allicen’s commitment to growth and excellence is unwavering. She has balanced softball and academics by maintaining an impressive 4.17 GPA. Allicen has proven she has the commitment and discipline that defines a true collegiate athlete.
“This signing means a great deal to me as a coach and as a big fan of Allicen”, said Head Coach Shane Darnall. “I’ve watched her pitching and hitting develop from a very young age. It’s an honor to say I’ve had a front row seat to it all. She is one of the hardest working players I’ve had the privilege to coach and this moment is well deserved. Today, we are thrilled to see her work pay off as she steps into the next chapter of her softball journey at Morehead State University. Congratulations, Allicen, on this well-deserved achievement.”
