Gladys Biver, 87 of Dexter, KY passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024, at her residence.
Born Monday, December 21, 1936 in McClure, VA, she was the daughter of the late Roy Rachel and the late Vern (Greer) Rachel.
Gladys attended Eastern Kentucky University where she got her masters degree in education. She was a physical education teacher at Eisenhower High School in Saginaw, MI. Gladys was of the Missionary Baptist Faith.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Donald Bivers of Decter, KY; brother, Donald D. Rachel of Almo, KY; 1 nephew, 3 nieces, 2 great nephews and 2 great great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Oliver Rachel, Herbert Rachel, Ferd Greer; and sisters, Pauline (Rachel) Bates and Deloris (Rachel) Gibson.
A Funeral service will be at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home, located at 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025 with Bro. David Little officiating.
Interment will follow the service in Brooks Chapel Cemetery, Dexter, KY.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Collier Funeral Home.
