
Marshall County’s Katie Roberts and CeCelia Ray completed their first rounds of the KHSAA Girls’ State Golf Championship today at Bowling Green Country Club. At the conclusion of Saturday’s round two a new individual and team state champion will be crowned.
Roberts finished the day tied for 24th at +10 (82) and Ray tied for 79th at +23 (95). Roberts tees off on Saturday at 9:12 and Ray will tee off at 8:00.
The individual leader is Athena Singh from Rowan County at 2-under (70). Ballard Memorial’s Madison Glisson is tied for third with at +3 (75).
Madison Central leads the team standings at +23 (311), Sacred Heart is second at +28 (316) and Lexington Catholic sits in third at +37 (325).
