Stokes completes first round of the KHSAA Boys’ State Golf Championship

Round one of the KHSAA Boys’ State Golf Championship was completed on Tuesday at Bowling Green Country Club and at the conclusion of the second round tomorrow, new state champions will be crowned

Marshall County’s Ryan Stokes is currently tied for 40th at +6 (78). After teeing off on the 10th hole, Stokes played the back nine 6-over par but played the front nine even par with two birdies and two bogies.

Charlie Spiller of Lexington Catholic and Tucker Jones of Madison Central lead individual standings at 2-under par (70). Three players are 1-under par. McCracken County’s Landon Hunt is tied for 16th at +2 (74).

Madison Central leads the team standings at +4 (292) followed by Trinity at +11 (299). Madison Central is on track to win their third straight state title. McCracken County finished Tuesday’s round in fifth at +23 (311).
