Jimmy David “JD” Jackson, 71 of Benton, Kentucky died on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, Kentucky.
Born Sunday, June 7, 1953 in Mayfield, he was the son of Jimmy Winford Jackson and the late Charline (Adams) Jackson. He was a mechanical engineer and a member of First Baptist Church in Scottsboro, AL.
JD is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jayna (McCorkle) Jackson of Benton; daughters, Melanie Stinson husband Ronnie of Mayfield, Alecia Hagan husband Wes of Mayfield, Amanda Curtis husband Zack of Nashville, TN; father, Jimmy Jackson of Brewers; bonus daughters, Paula Rudd husband Scott of Benton, Mandy Harrington husband Donald of Benton; sister Tammy McClanahan husband Mac of Mayfield; grandchildren, Laney, Chris, Jake, Lauren, Eric, Kayla, Mallory; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home, located at 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025 with Blake Jackson officiating.
Interment will be in McNatt Cemetery, Benton, KY.
