Marshals split games on Saturday in Madisonville

Sophomore Maddox Schroader (15) in a recent game at Murray, scored one of the Marshals goals on Saturday in their 5-1 win over Madisonville-North Hopkins.

In two games on Saturday at Madisonville-North Hopkins, the Marshals earned a split starting with a 5-1 win over the Maroons (7-6-1) followed by a 4-0 loss to South Warren (6-3-3).

The five goals in the win over Madisonville-North Hopkins came from five different players. Goals were scored by Maddox Konrad, Colton Snyder, Houston Johnson, Maddox Schroader and Davis Hunt. Konrad and Owen Staley had one assist each and Isaac Reynold had two. Carson Lovett had seven saves.

South Warren shutout the Marshals in their second game of the day. Aid Becirovic had two goals for the Spartans and one each was scored by Malik Mujic and Amir Salihovic. Lovett had five saves.

The Marshals are 5-6-2 on the season and will play a district game at Graves County on Thursday.
