
Marshall County’s boys golf team played in the KGCA All-State Championship this past weekend as one of the top 15 teams across the state, based on All-State points. The two-day tournament was played at the Wildcat and Big Blue courses in Lexington.
With a two-day team score of 618 (+46) the Marshals finished ninth, two strokes back of McCracken County with 616 (+44) in eighth. There was a tie for first between St. Xavier and Madison Central. Both teams shot a blistering 4-over for the two days with team scores of 576.
The Marshals were led by Ryan Stokes who finished 25th (+5) with a two-day score of 71-77=148.

Lexington Catholic’s Charlie Spiller took first at 5-under par (70-68=138) for the two days, winning by two strokes over two players at 3-under par from Madison Central, Jake Feldhouse (69-71=140) and Seth Barker (69-71=140).
