Andrew Marcus Allen was arrested today after he was released from a local hospital. Allen had an active Probation Violation warrant in McCracken County as well as pending felony charges from Tennessee.
Officer Josh Butler of Kenton Police Department in Kenton, Tennessee, gave information to Deputies last date that Allen was in a local hospital after a traffic stop in Ballard County. Allen had allegedly ingested an amount of illicit drugs during the traffic stop and started suffering from a medical emergency due to what he had ingested. Due to Deputy Collins, from Ballard County Sheriff’s Office, quick actions and noticing that Allen was severely under the influence and had endangered himself with the substance he had ingested, Deputy Collins more than likely saved Allen’s life by hailing an ambulance to transport Allen to a local hospital.
Officer Butler’s information was confirmed last date that Allen was in a local hospital. Deputies were alerted that Allen was going to be released today and arrived at the local hospital and took Allen into custody without incident.
Allen has several pending charges related to illicit drugs, fleeing, and reckless endangerment stemming from a pursuit that went through the Obion County Tennessee area recently.
This is just another example of good outcomes when local agencies work together to apprehend fugitives. We appreciate Officer Butler and his dedication to his case and tracking down Allen’s whereabouts.
