Lady Marshals shutout Graves County, Calloway County

The Lady Marshals picked up two big district wins this week 6-0 over Graves County and 4-0 over Calloway County to improve to 5-1 on the season.

Against the Lady Eagles, Lexie Driver put Marshall County on the board first and they held the 1-0 lead at halftime. Just over two minutes into the second half, Rylee Teague on an assist by Addi Wall, put the Lady Marshals up 2-0. Just over a minute later, Chaney Green knocked in the third Lady Marshals goal.

Chaney Green picked up her second goal of the game for a 4-0 lead and on another Addi Wall assist, Addison Peterson made it a 5-0 game. Rylee Teague scored the final goal for the 6-0 shutout in just under 10 minutes remaining.

In Murray on Thursday, Chaney Green found the net two minutes into the game for the Lady Marshals first goal in the 4-0 win over Calloway County. Macy Scott converted a penalty kick to double the lead and Addi Wall’s goal gave them a 3-0 lead at halftime. Wall scored again 12 minutes into the second half to finish off the shutout over the Lady Lakers.

Saturday, the Lady Marshals will travel to play Henderson County (3-2). The JV game kicks off at 4:00 followed by the varsity at 5:30.
