Pertussis, aka whooping cough, is on the rise in the U.S. and here is Kentucky. There were approximately 130 cases in Kentucky as of the last report I saw in mid-July. This, as well as measles, continue to increase due to a decline in childhood immunizations. As our children are getting back into school, it is important to ensure they are vaccinated.
