McCracken County man arrested on warrants and drug charges

On 7/24/2024 deputies were patrolling the Lone Oak area in an attempt to locate a subject who was wanted on 5 counts of an Emergency Protection Order (EPO) violation.

Deputy Latta observed the vehicle on Blandville Road and conducted a traffic stop.  Jason Chapman, 47 of Paducah, KY, was detained and ultimately taken into custody on the warrant.

Deputy Latta deployed K9 Bobi and the vehicle was searched.  Upon a search of the vehicle, a quantity of methamphetamine along with paraphernalia was located. Open containers of alcohol were also located within reach of Mr. Chapman.

Corporal Little assisted in the drug charges and lodged Mr. Chapman in the McCracken County Jail.

Possession of a Controlled Substance – 1st degree/1st offense – Methamphetamine

Class D Felony

Drug Paraphernalia – Buy/Possess – Class A Misdemeanor

Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in a Motor Vehicle Prohibited
