Mrs. Lenita Farmer Mathis, age 87, of Mayfield passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at her residence.
She was a member of Trace Creek Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Mrs. Mathis is survived by one son, Steven Gene Mathis of Mayfield, KY; two daughters, Janice Mathis (Bob) Froehlich of Mayfield, KY and LaDonna Allred of Benton, KY; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Joe Mathis; two brothers, Robert Farmer and Bro. Don Farmer; and her parents, James and Jessie Lee Cobb Farmer.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lenita Farmer Mathis will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Ronnie Stinson, Jr. and Rev. Keith Allred will officiate. Entombment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Allred, Ethan Allred, Evan Elder, Brad Allred, Blake Allred, Kris Lamb and Bryson Allred. Honorary pallbearers will be Nathan Elder, Jace Lamb and Jack Lamb.
Visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
