It is my great honor to announce that the Marshall County Exceptional Center raised a total of $38,234.15 at the annual Mike Miller Memorial Golf Tournament held Saturday, June 22nd at the Benton Golf & Country Club. This tremendous blessing is only possible with the unwavering support of the community, businesses, players, and donors.
The Marshall County Exceptional Center is a 501C-3 private non-profit organization that provides day training and services to clients with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. MCEC provides services such as vocational skill training, independent living skills training, health and wellness training, and much more. Each client served has a personalized plan to help them work toward maximizing their independence, community integration, and self-advocacy. MCEC is the only organization of its kind in the Commonwealth of Kentucky that provides services without requiring government waiver funding, rather, families that are ineligible for funding or are on a waiting list, can send their client to MCEC free of charge.
I also would like to personally thank Ratoberfest Annual Car Show & Swap Meet – 10/12/24 for serving again as a Title Sponsor. Their continued support helps us to continue offering services to those who need us most. A special thanks is also necessary for Kosairs for Kids for their sponsorship of $5,000! We are eternally grateful for their support and look forward to working with them in the future. Likewise, I wish to thank all corporate sponsors, hole sponsors, team players, Benton Golf & Country Club, Benton Walmart, Priceless IGA, and all who helped to make this tournament such a success. Each donation is appreciated and cherished.
Last, but not least, I want to extend my deepest appreciation to Doug and Rita Dotson for their insurmountable efforts to make this tournament a success each year. They go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that MCEC raises the funds necessary to continue doing what we do best! Thank you again for your tireless efforts!
