
Calvert City, KY (June 17, 2024) – On May 30, 2024 officers with the Calvert City Police Department responded to the area near the walking trail on top of Kentucky Dam in response to a call of a woman possibly having a medical issue in a white Jeep. When officers arrived the passenger of the Jeep seemed to be having a possible seizure or overdosing. The other woman in the Jeep seemed to be out of it and confused, and couldn’t provide much information as to what was happening. First responders arrived and assisted with the passenger. Tina Louise Baker, 51, of 115 Highland Circle, Paducah was cited to court for public intoxication – controlled substances (excludes alcohol) and was taken to the hospital by private vehicle.
On June 01, 2024 an officer with the Calvert City Police Department observed a vehicle being driven in the area of US 62 and Kennedy Avenue that had an expired registration plate. After observing the vehicle driving carelessly, a traffic stop was initiated. William J. Coomer, 57, of 163 Railroad Hill Road, Grand Rivers was arrested for possession of a controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense (methamphetamine). He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, no registration plates, no registration receipt, careless driving, and failure of owner to maintain required insurance 2nd offense.
On June 03, 2024 an officer with the Calvert City Police Department made contact with an individual who had a criminal summons out of McCracken County. Jesse Wayne Barrett, 43, of 1065 Powers Road, Paducah was served a McCracken County Criminal Summons for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle 1st offense.
On May 30, 2024 an officer with the Calvert City Police Department was notified about a broken camera on private property near Cypress Lakes RV Campground. The batteries were removed from the camera and the straps were broken. Video prior to the batteries being removed was viewed by the officer. During the investigation a suspect was identified and admitted to the offenses, and a criminal summons was obtained. On June 07, 2024 the investigating officer was able to serve the summons. Quintion Mouser, 20, of 2243 Gilbertsville Highway, Gilbertsville was served a Marshall County Criminal Summons for criminal trespassing 3rd degree and criminal mischief 3rd degree.
