Marshall County FFA has successful Kentucky FFA State Convention

Kentucky FFA State Convention was held this past week in Lexington. The Marshall County FFA Chapter won numerous awards and accolades. Below are some of the great results from the convention.

• Ty Elrod was named the 2024-2025 Purchase Region State Vice President.

• Conduct of Chapter Meetings Team State Champions and will compete at Nationals in October.
• Abby Treas is the State Champion in Vet Science Proficiency and will compete at Nationals.
• Ty Elrod was named in the Top 5 for Kentucky State Star in Agribusiness.
• Ty Elrod was State Runner-Up in Beef Production Entrepreneurship.
• Emma Smith was State Runner UP in Creed Speaking LDE.
• Ty Wood and Ty Elrod both applied, qualified for, and were awarded their Kentucky FFA State Degrees.
• MC FFA Parliamentary Procedure Team was named the Purchase Region Champion in March and competed at the State Convention, along with regional speaking competitors and state qualifiers Bailey Hodge (Nursery), Ty Wood (Goat/Sheep), and Abby Treas (Poultry).
• Reilly Mathis and Emma Smith partnered to compete in the State Agriscience Fair with a Division 4 Animal Science project.
