
Anna Lou “Lukie” French, age 97, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 3:34 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Charter Senior Living. Anna Lou was born on November 10, 1926, to the late Charles Harlan Shaffer and Lottie Corrine Watkins Shaffer. Anna Lou was a member of the Lebanon United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included cooking and family meals. Anna Lou liked collecting and shopping for antiques. Anna Lou enjoyed being a homemaker and staying in the home.
Family includes her husband of 40 years, Rev. Fred Stephen French Sr.; four daughters, Juyne Ann (Harry) Bushart (deceased), Margaret Ellen French and Elizabeth Ann Henson, both of Paducah, Kentucky, Judy Kaye (Ron) Offutt, of Connecticut; one son, Fred Stephen (Jennifer) French Jr. of Nashville, Tennessee; one sister, Patsy Sue English, Paducah, Kentucky; Tracie Bing, granddaughter; five additional grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding in death were her parents.
Services will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Ben Boone officiating. Burial will follow at the Maplelawn Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
