Marshall County tennis doubles team of JC Wells and Delaney Miller opened up their KHSAA Tennis State Championships on Tuesday with a win to advance to the round of 32. Wells and Miller defeated Stanley and Callaway of Rose Hill Christian 7-5, 2-6 and 10-6 in the tiebreaker.
They lost in the round of 32 to Lexington Catholic’s Lathram and Cranfill 6-2, 6-2. Lathram and Cranfill went on to beat O’Neill and Trout from Elizabethtown High School 6-2, 6-1 on Wednesday to advance to the quarterfinals. There they lost to the team from Oldham County 6-3, 6-2.
