Calvert City, KY (May 28, 2024) – On May 20, 2024 an officer with the Calvert City Police Department made contact with a subject at Speedway who had two warrants and a criminal summons. Rusty Renner, 36, of Salem was arrested on two Crittenden County warrants, one for probation violation (for felony offense) and the other for non-payment of court costs, fees or fines. He was also served a Livingston County criminal summons for TBUT or disp all others.
On May 21, 2024 an officer with the Calvert City Police Department observed a vehicle turn very swiftly into a business on Oak Park Boulevard, as if to keep the officer from seeing the registration plate. The officer was able to read the plate and verified that it was expired as of 02-2024. The driver appeared nervous and was shaking uncontrollably. The officer could detect the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. After further investigation, Zion R. Miller, 19, of Benton was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, no registration plates, and license to be in possession.
On May 21, 2024 an officer with the Calvert City Police Department made contact with several semis parked improperly on the I-24 E exit 27 on ramp from US 62 and issued citations to the operators. Kevian T. Dorsey, 49, of Memphis, TN was one of the operators. He was arrested as a fugitive from another state – warrant required for grand larceny out of Southaven, MS. He was also charged with improper parking violations.
