
William Aden Pegram, age 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 12, 2024, in his hometown of Paducah, Kentucky, where he had been a lifelong resident.
William was born on August 8, 1948, to the late William Boyd and Marguerite Louise Shelton Pegram, William was a proud United States Navy veteran, and he honorably served his country aboard the USS Kennedy, a testament to his steadfast patriotism and love for military history. After his service, William pursued his education and graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1976. His talent for crafting extended far beyond professional endeavors; in his younger years, he skillfully built furniture and decorated cakes with expertise that mesmerized friends and family alike. His passion for model trains was more than a hobby-it was a canvas for his creativity and precision. William’s legacy will be remembered for his dedication to country, his craftsmanship, and the love he had for the simple joys in life. His presence will be deeply missed by those who knew him and were inspired by his diverse talents and warm spirit.
William is survived by a daughter, Amy Love Norsworthy (John) of Paducah; a son, Jonathan Aden Pegram (Tracey) of Paducah; two grandchildren, Joseph Pegram and Makenzie Love; a great-grandchild, Westlyn Ann Pegram; a brother, Andy Pegram; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Becky Pegram; two brothers, Boyd Lee Pegram and Fleetwood Pegram; and his parents.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Mt. Kenton Cemetery with Kevin Gaunce officiating.
There will be no visitation.
