Mrs. June Lockhart, 91, of Murray, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Passion and Purpose Assisted Living.
Mrs. Lockhart was born to Isaac and Christina Rolfe Brandon on October 6, 1932 in Calloway County. She was a member of Hickory Grove Church of Christ. June was an avid artist and seamstress. She also loved to bake and care for others around her and was always there for anyone who needed her. June was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James D. Lockhart; a sister, Marie Betts; a brother, Joe Brandon; a granddaughter, Rebecca Jackson Hale; a son in law, Jimmy D. Jackson, in addition to her parents.
Those left to cherish many wonderful memories include her daughters, Cathy Jackson of Paducah, Penny Dunn (Randy) of Almo, Christy Vance (Terry) of Murray; a brother, Jackie Brandon of Almo; sisters, Myra Brandon of Paducah, Gail Dix of Ruidoso, NM; six grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 12 pm on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Hickory Grove Church of Christ, 1131 Hickory Grove Road, Almo, KY 42020. Bradley Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at Murray Memorial Gardens.
Her family welcomes visitors from 11 am until 12 pm at Hickory Grove Church of Christ.
