
On 05/12/2024 Deputies were dispatched to Mercy Health Lourdes for a report of a male that sustained non-incapacitating injures by a male armed with a hammer.
During the investigation, it was determined that Roger Gibson, 61 of Paducah was struck with a hammer twice by Lynn Day, 43, also from Paducah following a verbal argument that turned violent.
Gibson arrived at the hospital via personal vehicle for treatment of non-incapacitating injuries before being released. Deputies then responded to the scene of the assault at 150 Butler Lane. During the investigation Day was located and interviewed. Day was ultimately placed under arrest; a small amount of Methamphetamine was also found in his possession.
Day was charged with Assault 2nd Degree and Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine) and transported to the McCracken County Jail.
